Lena Hershey
Lena had practiced yoga for almost two decades before deciding to go through the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and never looked back.
The perpetual student, Lena has completed additional 300 hours of yoga teacher training and became an E-RYT500. Having taken countless workshops and training intensives since then, you will often hear her say that there is no such thing as “enough education”.
Lena also obtained a NASM Personal Training, Pilates Reformer, Spinning and TRX Suspension Training certifications and taught those modalities at one point or another in her career in wellness.
She strongly believes that yoga is for absolutely everyone. A life-long “anatomy geek”, Lena strives to bring the respect for her students’ physical individuality and unique personal story of each student to her every class.
Nancy Bie
Nancy Bie is a native of Carlisle, PA. Becoming a yoga teacher has always been a goal of hers and after retirement from her busy world, that opportunity became available. This inspiration came through the many wonderful yoga teachers she encountered during her 20+ years of being a student. She wanted to learn to teach and pass her passion on to others. Nancy attended and graduated from the Pranakriya School of Healing Arts in 2017 becoming an RYT200. Pranakriya Yoga Teacher Training has changed her life in many positive ways, and she is grateful for the deeper knowledge of yoga and the opportunities to now pass it on to others. She now sees the positive impact her teaching has had on her students, and never wants to stop learning and teaching.
At Anahata Nancy teaches Aerial Yin Yoga classes and Gentle Aerial Yoga classes. See Nancy’s schedule and book a class here.
Melissa Jones
Melissa was born and raised in Brush Valley and considers herself a transplant to Central PA since 1999. She moved to Carlisle in 2023. Melissa has been a registered nurse for 25 years. In 2020, she started on her weight loss journey. When her support group set up an Aerial Yoga class, she signed up. During Savasana at the end of her first class, she was overcome by emotion…the juxtaposition of the feeling of weightlessness while at her heaviest. She was “hooked” ever since and has continued taking classes on a regular basis.
Melissa has trained with Lena Hershey at Anahata School of Yoga & Mindful Movement to become an Aerial Yoga Teacher. Her goal is to share the fun and joy that Aerial Yoga has brought to her life, proving that exercise does not have to feel like a workout! “Aerial Yoga is for anyone…regardless of shape, size, or fitness level,” Melissa says.
At Anahata, Melissa teaches Beginner Aerial Yoga Classes on Thursdays and Sundays at 6:00 pm. See our class schedule for more details.

Jennifer Rabenstein
Jennifer has been mesmerized by the healing abilities of henna. She mixes all the henna she uses herself, connects with the individual receiving, allows the energy to intuitively guide an artistic expression that is filled with meanings and messages that she can give some insight, and more importantly can be reflected on by the receiver for days or weeks. There is a lot behind henna from its history, uses, science, mixing, and more, all of which Jennifer has been studying through different outlets and is certified through the International Certification for Natural Henna Arts. The henna ingredients Jennifer uses are: Organic raj henna powder, water (rose or moon), lemon juice, sugar, and essential oils (lavender, cajaput, and/or eucalyptus).
At Anahata, Jennifer is a guest presenter and offers workshops and special events featuring henna art. See our class schedule for more details.
